Si3N4-SiC Bricks
Silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide brick refers to a refractory product made of SiC and Si as raw materials and nitrided.
Detailed Description
This product first appeared in the late 1960s, and its characteristic is that it uses Si3N4 as a binder. Si3N4 exists between SiC grains in the form of needle-shaped or fibrous crystals, and is an important new type of refractory material. It generally contains 70% to 75% silicon carbide and 18% to 25% silicon nitride. It has good corrosion resistance, 1400℃ flexural strength of 50 to 55MPa, and apparent porosity of 15%. Thermal expansion coefficient (4.5 to 5.0) × 10-2℃-1. It is prepared by high temperature sintering method. It is mainly used for blast furnace tuyere and aluminum electrolytic cell lining. In recent years, our company has applied silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide bricks to industrial silicon ore furnace mouth and silicon water bag, which greatly improves the furnace life and service life of silicon water bag.
